Family Readiness Programs

Marine Corps Family Team Building

Marine Corps Family Team Building was established in December of 1998 as a result of the merger of AC/S Human Services, AC/S Morale, Welfare and Recreation and Base Education. Several separate family-related entities with similar functions were combined under the direction of a Marine Officer to unify their efforts. Our programs vary from pre-deployment briefs and Family Readiness training to religious retreats. Though diverse, our focus is to build a strong bond between the service member their family and the Marine Corps.

Family Care

Exceptional Family Member Program

EFMP provides assistance to family members with special medical, emotional, physical or educational needs, before, during and after relocation required by change of duty assignment. The EFMP coordinator advocates on behalf of families and provides information on resources.

Personal & Professional Development

Personal & Professional Development supports unit commanders by providing information and guidance to Marines, Sailors, Coasties and their families. The goal of this support is mission readiness, improved morale, retention and preparation for life after active-duty service. This is accomplished through personal services including Transition Readiness (Career Resources Management Program, Family Member Employee Assistance Program, Personal Readiness Seminar, Transition Readiness Seminar and Relocation Assistance including Information and Referral and the Sponsorship Program), Education Assistance (including College/University degree and certification programs, Testing opportunities, and Personal Financial Management Program) , and Library services.  For more information, call 910-451-3781/3754 at Camp Lejeune or 910-449-4914 at New River.
