This course is for riders who are new to the sport of mountain biking. Riders will learn about mountain biking from trained instructors in a safe environment. Our instructors will teach the proper techniques of shifting, braking, hill climbing, descending, pedal positioning, and navigating minor obstacles on the trail. Proper trail etiquette and safety will also be addressed. This is designed as an educational ride, not a guided tour; we want to teach you how to get more out of your mountain biking experience.
Course will be conducted on Henderson Pond Trail, Camp Lejeune. All riders will meet at Yewel Branch Road (2nd PMU).
Mark your calendars for our weekend mountain bike trip to Uwharrie Forest trails on April 5-7.
Register online or at the Outdoor Adventures Office (Bldg 728, adjacent to Gottschalk Marina, Camp Lejeune, Mon – Fri 9 AM – 4 PM). Fees must be paid prior to course date. For additional information, call 910.451.1440 or email email@example.com.
