By the order of the commanding general, effective Monday, March 7, 2022, patrons at MCCS facilities are no longer required – but are encouraged – to wear face coverings.

New River Fitness Center (Bldg. AS-4400)

The New River Fitness Center will be installing new flooring. The entire project is expected to take 4-6 months.

During this time, you will experience the following impacts:

  • Temporary Entrance: Access to the Fitness Center will be located through the side door throughout the renovation
  • Locker rooms and restroom services will only be accessible during pool hours and swim lessons. To enter, please use the pool's exterior left door in front of the building.
    Portable toilets are on site for use.
  • Smoothie Bar closed.
  • Rec-Trac service will not be available. Group Exercise class participants will have to purchase cards from the Wallace Creek Fitness Center once indoor group exercise classes resume.
  • Pool is open. Access to the pool will be through the pool exterior left door located in front of the building and the locker rooms will be available for all patrons during pool hours.

The fitness center will continue to operate under normal hours. Please understand that you may experience loud noise during this period. We appreciate your patience as we make these improvements.

AS-4000 Sports & Fitness Center

The AS-4000 Sports & Fitness Center at MCAS New River is closed for renovations. Renovations are scheduled to take up to 24 months to complete.

Onslow Beach

Onslow Beach is under construction in all areas. Various construction crews are on site working and will be at both ends of the beach. Various projects will also be conducted throughout the island.
