Dream EZ is an app designed to help users cope with nightmares, a common symptom of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The app uses principles from Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) for nightmare reduction, and aims to change nightmares into less disturbing dreams and reduce the frequency and intensity of nightmares. Users are encouraged to visualize and describe a nightmare via audio recording, then rewrite the plot and ending and record the re-scripted dream description. Although the app can be used alone, it is intended for use in conjunction with a therapist.
Provides on-the-go tools and teaches problem solving skills to overcome obstacles and deal with stress. The app is designed for Veterans and Service members, but is useful for anyone with stressful problems. It is especially helpful in managing challenges such as: returning to civilian life, balancing school and family life, financial difficulties, relationship problems, difficult career decisions, and coping with physical injuries. It may be used alone or in combination with the Moving Forward online course.
The PE Coach app helps you work with a mental health professional during Prolonged Exposure therapy. PE therapy is used to reduce symptoms of PTSD. Not sufficient on its own. Must be used to assist working with a therapist.
Positive Activity Jackpot is most suitable for adults struggling with depression to teach them skills and help them engage in pleasant activities. There are two main features of the app: “Jackpot” or “Find Something Nearby.” “Jackpot” allows the user to choose from various categories of activities (i.e. water activities, shopping, thoughts, travel) and pull a slot-machine style lever to provide a specific suggestion. “Find Something Nearby” uses “pleasant event scheduling” (PES) to suggest nearby activities ranging from a 0 to 20-mile radius.
