All areas of Onslow Beach (to include the Marine Mart, reservation office, lodging, camping, playgrounds, pavilions and beach accesses) will be completely closed October 16 – November 7, 2017, due to a complex full-scale amphibious exercise that involves ship-to-shore movements of military personnel and equipment. We will not accept lodging reservations for this time period. Reservations will be accepted for stays that begin November 7th, in accordance with our priority policy, found by clicking here.
Our Onslow Beach staff will continue to take reservations for the winter season from an offsite location while Onslow Beach is closed. We are proud to be able to help our Marines remain Mission Ready!
Hourly care is available at all Child Development Centers and with the School Age Care program on a space available basis. Reservations may be made one week in advance. Child must be enrolled with the Child & Youth program and parents must call Child Development Center to make reservations. Visit http://www.mccslejeune-newriver.com/cyp/#cdc. (Please note: due to an increase in fulltime care, some Child Development Centers will have limited availability.)
New River Exchange Renovation
Renovations are continuing at the New River Exchange to bring you a better shopping experience!
The project scope has been revised to include 3 phases and we are now in Phase 2. Phase 2 is scheduled to run until September and Phase 3 is scheduled to wrap up by November.
The store remains OPEN while we make the following improvements: new lighting, a new floor and carpet, a more streamlined floor layout, and best of all – an updated selection of merchandise to meet your needs.
During Phase 2, the store hours will remain the same and the main entrance in the front of the building will be open.
Additionally, some merchandise may not be available during the renovation. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask a Store Associate! We may be able to transfer it to New River from another store, usually within a day or two. You may also wish to visit MAG 29 or Camp Geiger Marine Marts.
Other Phase 2 highlights include:
Western Union will be available.
American Clipper Barber Shop is scheduled to remain open during the renovation and the entrance will be clearly marked. There may be intermittent service interruptions. Please call ahead before visiting, 910-449-0593.
A Marine Federal Credit Union ATM will be available inside the store. There is also a First Citizens Bank/ATM in the parking lot.
Fuel will be available. Customers can either pay-at-pump 24/7 or inside the MCX when it’s open.
Coffee and the food bar will be available.
Restrooms inside the store will be open.
We appreciate your patience while we make these upgrades to our facility. Changes may occur frequently, so check back periodically for the latest information.
